Incommunicado

The other day I had a conversation with a close friend about emotions. Is it good to let your emotions loose at all times!? or is it better to be a stoic and keep your feelings under control!? These days, people rarely explicitly reveal their emotional state of mind. Well, people do. To a certain extent. You may smile and smirk to yourself when you silently diffuse the dance floor air with a stealthy yet deadly fart. Chuckling to yourself as you see peoples reactions to your personal but untraceable stink bomb.

On the other end of the emotional spectra, you might scream and shout at the, power happy-my boobs aren't really this big-but my arse is-I only date black guys, thank you very much-wannabe wag, part time guest list lady, who denies access into the club because of the fact that your shoes cost £25 as opposed to the standard £250 pair of Emma Hopes required for entry into the superficial and overrated West End venue. But what happened to all the blue, red and yellow emotions in the middle!?

Like Jealousy, Anger, Love, Fear, Frustration, Confidence, Shame, Embarrassment!?
We are all familiar with these feelings, but have you ever witnessed your friends express these emotions in their raw form.
Maybe.

Anyway, the conclusion of our conversation was that people should not suppress emotions. Most especially in the presence of loved ones. If you never show your emotions, how are your main peeps going to know how you are really feeling!? Are you angry!? If so open a can of wallops, Do a Ahmed and smash some plates!!! If you feel like bursting out with laughter on a crowded tube/bus because of the comedy printed in your current read by your favorite author, Laugh.Out.Loud. If you feel edgy/jealous about your lady having a 'catch up session' with the dude she used to exchange spunk faces with then tell her. She probably wants/needs to hear it. And if you are embarrassed. Don't let the red cheeks do the talking for you. Most important of all, are expressions of Love. I'm not talking digital love, i.e Facebook writings on the wall. Funk That! I'm talking, real sheezy! Like hugs and kisses to your favorite dudes and dudettes, banter over dinner, cheek to cheek shit. To be honest, when it comes to some emotions, I'm a bit of a stoic myself. However, I have a 'Lovely' weekend planned . I hope you have a LOVELY weekend too.
