Facebook is such a bad idea. Especially, when you have a lot of work on.
If you have an account, I'm sure you can't help having a sneak peek every now and then.
Especially, at the visuals of your cyber crush...

Boom!
Volcanoes. They erupt, then the lava destroys everything in its path but at the same time it clears the path for new beginnings. That's kinda what life is like walking in my shoes at the momento. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition...

Outsiders Looking In
Please don't judge them from the outside looking infor things are never as they seem
when we are on the outside looking in.
Don't judge a champ
by his swagger or his lean
nor the fat chick
by the wobble in her jeans
for things are never what they seem
from the outside looking in.
Don't judge the journeynor the feet we are walking in
nor the alcoholic
with the double of gin
for things are never what they seem
from the outside looking in.
Never judge by creed, wealth nor colour
for we all look for pastures green
and strive for luxury we have only seen
from the outside looking in
There are two sides to every story
One. from the inside
Two. from the outside
Never judge by creed, wealth nor colour
for we all look for pastures green
and strive for luxury we have only seen
from the outside looking in
There are two sides to every story
One. from the inside
Two. from the outside
For we are both outsiders
on the other side
looking in .
on the other side
looking in .

Stare with your ears
I was thinking. 'They' don't do record sleeve art work like 'they' used to. I guess it just one of the repercussions of the mp3 phenomena.
Anyhow, 'They' say don't judge a book by its cover.' But then again 'they' say that first impressions count. I don't know who 'they' are but that's one hell of a contradiction. Personally, I think all that 'first impression talk' is stinky chat.
Because,
There are a few people who I thought were complete waste-men when we first met who have eventually become some of my closest friends. On the flip side, you may have met some people who are sweet like cocoa on day one and turn out be complete ass wipes when you get through the facade. Lets not forget all the pretty ladies out there who very unattractive on the interior. Chicken Heads! That's life, full of contradictions. Standard procedure.
It's super hard to find the total package. I'm not just talking relationship wise. That's why Listening out for good people as opposed to looking for them is a good idea. Just like music. Uber funky record sleeve art work doesn't necessarily mean good music. However, I wonder what these sleeves sound like...

You gotta love the idea of the relentless hustle. It's funny to think that at some point Christopher Wallace was an unknown. Just another super talent trying to get his name out of the dark and into the limelight. There are a lot of talented people out there. Some of them make it, some of them stumble and fall. The difference between the two is the triumph of will. Hitler talked about it, but then again Adolph talked copious amounts of mind boggling donkey shit that a lot of people still consume today. Mr Notorious didn't speak any hybrid mule poo though, that's why he still lives through our speakers. To infinity and beyond bebe/biggie!

A few weeks back I mentioned my negative attitude towards the idea of 'Black History Month'. I have been trying to figure out a way of presenting and justifying my view without writing a tediously lengthy argument.
I came across this in an article from Timeout magazine which was talking about an entirely different topic yet I feel these words can be seen in light of my argument regarding Black History Month...
"We have to get away from the idea of empowerment through segregation. It's not possible. Black people don't have their own society: we all share society, government policies and social attitudes, whether that's working class people, women or asylum seekers. How we think about each other will affect all kinds of opportunity and all kinds advancement. It's not as if black people have a choice to create their own little utopia in which they can give each other great opportunities." - A Black Person.
