This is where Kenneth Anger comes in. Pun Intended. Anger's dream-like and illusionistic films focus primarily on the supernatural. His unique visual style [which insipired the modern cult classic Donnie Darko] is based on the themes of Transfiguration and Transformation. Which when you think about it is what life is all about - the transformation of your "supernatural" ideas into a tangible form. Just take a look around you - 100 years ago your computer screen would only have been a figment of your Great Great G-Momma's imagination and today we have computers the size of a squeaky bum hole. I hope my Great Grand Father gave Bionic Wings a thought - because I believe I can fly - not like R. Kelly though - He a damn lie!!!

Born For Bad Luck

Everyone has had a stroke of hard luck when nothing seems to be going your way! Bad News followed by spoiled plans and hurt dreams. I swear its the moon, because last week errrything was honky dory, then the full moon comes along and funks things up!
So I have been tyring to stay off the interweb. Looking for inspiration/encouragement on the cheap, outside the cyber world. Long story - I found nothing but a bunch of miserable- drab faced - rat racing Londoners, Monotonous celebrity obsessed MTV and dingy [Bring.Your.Own.Girls.] Grime events where its considered a crime to smiles or bust a groove on the D floor.
So, here we are,

Back at square numero uno - looking for something confirm that my situation - our situation isn't all that bad. Behold!!! I came accross this. A ''Blues'' documentary from 1976 about a dude named Peg Leg Sam Jackson. The dancing dude with the wooden leg. It just puts things all into perspective. No matter how bad you have it , there is always someone worse off who eventually manages to bounce through adversity with a smile. So if you are having a bad week, you know things can only get better! Ask Peg Leg Sam!!!
