On Some Milla/er Shit!
Say the name Roger Miller/a and it might conjure up two entirely different images.
For our generation the name will most certainly only mean one thing - Yes him - The legendary footballer from Cameroon with corner flag swaGG to go into extra time. Pepe Kalle's ode to Roger is a good way to start the week if you ask me - please believe, Pepe knows what all the ladies want, peep his stylo and take notes yo! Secondly, there is Roger Miller the country star from the 60's. His tune "Dang Me" might just be the official mantra for 09 with the global recession and all that jazz.

Inauguration Day Yo!
There are a million and one things one had to say about Tuesday's action in the white house, but the O-Fever that swept the globe kept me from posting an Inaugural weblog on the day. Besides [presumably] everyone else was smothered with emotions of joy, disbelief and bottle necking relief. So in any case there is nothing that one could say that hadn't been said already. Anyhoot, here is the Interplanetary account of Tuesdays events...

What Divides Us Unites Us
Here are two different yet equally exciting sides of the same story - in musical form. Check out "Kamphopo" by Malawi super band The Very Best which samples "Heart it Races" by the most eccentric but alluring Aussie band of all time - Architecture in Helsinki. Their sound might be a bit too electro-prissy for most but their creative beats are always twinned with some funky low budget high impact visuals to stimulate your frontal lobe. Too be honest I'm not too sure who sampled who but who gives a funk - after all we love fried chicken and we also love dem fried eggs...

Zero 9

As we await the dawn of zero nine, once again we will take time to reflect as the year winds to an end, hoping for a rebound into the New Year with renewed ambitions and dreams. Let's just remember to get all the frustrations of 2008 out of the system before the old gives in to the new year. Many thanks to all our readers.
All the best to you in 2009. Happy New Year!!!!
